Meet Our Doctor

 Dustin M. Scott, O.D. earned a Bachelor of Science/Arts in Philosophy/ Chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also received a minor in Spanish and received language accreditation from the Universidad de Jaen, in Jaen, Spain. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree.
 While being a student clinician at the UAB School of Optometry Dr. Scott provided individualized care and treatment to patients across multiple UAB School of Optometry clinics. He rotated on specialty care clinics including Myopia Control Clinic, Specialty Contact Lens, Vision Therapy, Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, and Sports-Related Concussion Clinic. Dr. Scott was involved in leadership/community involvement activities while seeking his Doctorate degree. He held office in the National Optometric Student Association and the American Academy of Optometry UAB Chapter. 

During his time at UAB Dr. Scott hosted two free community outreach clinics, providing eye exams/ glasses to those in need.
 During his training, Dr. Scott completed externships at Vision America Eye Center South, and Eye Care Associates where he gained hands-on experience managing ocular diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma,macular degeneration, diabetic associated ocular complications, and corneal disease.
These diverse clinical experiences shaped Dr. Scott's patient centered approach — combining advanced clinical knowledge with a genuine passion for improving each patient’s quality of life through clear, healthy vision.
Outside the exam room, Dr. Scott enjoys antique cars, golfing, traveling, and trying different types of food. He is excited to make Niceville home and to be part of such a welcoming community.
